Peter J. Burer,
company president,
was riding in an off-shore sport boat, standing up,
holding on as tight as he could while pounding through
the waves jarring his legs, back and neck, when he
started thinking that there had to be a better way to
absorb shock waves inherent in a boat traveling at high
speed or in rough conditions.
Peter initially started another company in Largo in
1999, where most of its effort was spent developing the
SEASPENSION product lines.
Seaspension

was founded to channel all the development resources
previously spent into the premier shock-mitigating
suspension system for boat seats. Whether fishing
with friends, cruising with the family, or pounding the
waves in a high-speed boat, SEASPENSION

Our innovative
shock-absorbent pedestals are designed to retrofit most
boats which currently have conventional rigid posts.
All SEASPENSION Solo Posts are designed
to bolt directly to your existing universal slider or
spider/slider combination. This means you can keep your
current hardware and seat. For boaters who have a
leaning post or other type of bench seat, we offer
independent suspension in each Post (two required) for
the optimum ride. Offshore, go-fast boaters have the
option to install either a sit down or drop down bolster
in a tripod configuration. Go ahead, full speed ahead
with SEASPENSION.
